Chinese Consulate General in Munich Hosts the Symposium on “Implementing the Four Global Initiatives and Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind”

On August 4, 2026, the Chinese Consulate General in Munich and the International Schiller Institute jointly hosted a symposium at the Consulate General themed "Implementing the Four Global Initiatives and Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind."

Mr. Qiu Xuejun, Chinese Consul General in Munich, Prof. Dr. Zhang Weiwei, Director of the China Institute,Fudan University (joining online), Dr. Guo Qinglin, Director of the Dunhuang Academy and Mme. Helga Zepp-LaRouche, founder and President of the International Schiller Institute, made keynote remarks. Representatives from various sectors in Germany—including Mr. Eric Recke, MdL, Saxon State Parliament and Councillor of the Leipzig City Council (joining online), Mr. Wolfgang Müller, scholar on China studies, writer Ms. Alexandra Motschmann—addressed the round table. More than 70 attendees from all walks of life of the State of Bavaria, the consular district of the Consulate General, joined the event and engaged in exchanges.

Attendees remarked that the four major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping offer Chinese vision and wisdom for addressing various global challenges and fostering common development of humanity. Amid the current complex and turbulent international landscape, people of vision from all sectors in China and Germany should join hands to implement the four global initiatives and pool their efforts toward building a community with a shared future for mankind.
